Oricalo (“Oricalo”, “we”, “us”) helps you track spending, plan income and grow your savings. We take the privacy of your financial information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. We do not sell your data, we do not use advertising trackers, and we only measure visits if you accept the cookie notice.
Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. You type your card details on Stripe's systems, and they are never stored on our servers. We keep only a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription, plus which plan you are on.
Where the GDPR applies, our reasons for using your data are: performing a contract (running your account and subscription), legitimate interests (keeping the app secure and making it better), consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligation (keeping billing records).
We share data only with the service providers needed to run Oricalo:
We may also hand over information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, the people who use Oricalo, or the public. We never sell or rent your personal data.
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from Settings → Delete account. Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone. We erase your financial data, meaning your daily entries, categories, recurring lines and budgets, along with your profile and sign-in history, and we cancel any active subscription. A small number of records we are legally required to keep, such as billing history held by our payment provider, stay for as long as the law says.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email info@oricalo.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Passwords are stored scrambled, traffic is encrypted on its way to us (HTTPS), and access to data is limited. No system is perfectly safe, but we work to protect your information, and we will tell you about a breach where we are required to.
Your data may be handled by providers based outside your country. Where that happens, we use proper safeguards to protect it, such as standard contractual clauses.
Oricalo is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email.
